Temple of Hathor
Dendera is home to a temple.

Who was responsible for its construction?
In this temple, which was erected initially by the Ptolemies, Ptolemy XIII, and subsequently, by the Romans, the decoration was carried on by the Ptolemies and Cleopatra II.
What was the motivation for the construction of the Temple of Hathor in Egypt?
It was constructed to demonstrate their devotion to the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, particularly to Goddess Hathor, the goddess of joy, music, and love, among others.

Even though it is an incomplete structure, it is regarded, along with the Edfu Temple, to be the finest maintained. In this temple, you will pass via the Roman Gateway to enter.
To the right of it is the Roman Birth House, and within this Temple, you may climb to the top of the temple’s roof, which is one of the few temples that gives visitors access to the roof. First, on the eastern side, is a representation of Nut, goddess of the sky, bending herself towards the earth, while the sun disc is seen shining on the Temple of Hathor and the mask of Hathor in the background.
